How Can We Help?

Occupational Therapy
Malone Therapy's paediatric occupational therapists are dedicated to helping children overcome challenges and develop the everyday skills they need to shine. We work closely with each child to improve fine motor skills like writing, cutting, and dressing, as well as gross motor skills such as jumping, climbing, and balancing. If sensory experiences—like loud noises or certain textures—are hard to handle, our therapists use practical strategies to help make the world more comfortable for your child. Through play-based activities, they create a positive and fun environment for building social, emotional, and problem-solving skills. Our therapists also support families and children with daily routines, making tasks like eating, toileting, and getting ready for school easier. By partnering with parents and teachers, our occupational therapists ensure each child is supported at home and in the classroom, whether that’s with handwriting, organisation, or participating with classmates. As your child grows, our therapists focus on building independence by teaching important life skills for school and beyond. They may also suggest simple changes or special equipment to help children feel confident, included, and able to succeed in everyday life.

Speech Patholgy
Malone Therapy's paediatric speech therapists are passionate about helping children find their voice and communicate with confidence. We support kids who have challenges with talking, understanding, listening, or sharing their thoughts and feelings—whether that’s through words, gestures, or signs. Using fun and engaging play-based activities, our therapists help children improve their speech sounds, build vocabulary, and develop the language skills they need to connect with family and friends. We also work on skills like following directions, telling stories, asking and answering questions, and joining in social conversations. Our therapists work closely with families, teachers, and other professionals to personalise strategies for each child—whether it’s improving pronunciation, making speech clearer, or exploring new ways to communicate if words are still developing. We suggest useful resources and simple ideas that families can use at home and at school to help children feel understood, included, and confident in all parts of daily life.

Stand Alone Services
Our targeted services are designed to support your child’s unique needs, no matter their age or stage. We provide careful infant assessments to understand your child’s development across movement, learning, social, language, sensory, and adaptive behaviours, right from birth. For children who require greater independence at home, our therapists offer assessments and recommendations to adapt daily routines and home environments so your child can join in safely and confidently. Our team delivers targeted assistive technology support—evaluating your child’s needs for specialised equipment, such as seating, mobility aids, and learning tools. We help with selecting, customising, and training families to use equipment effectively, whether at home, school, or in the community. We also conduct NDIS assessments to evaluate your child’s strengths and goals for everyday self-care, mobility, learning, and communication, and prepare reports to support funding applications. For convenience, our occupational therapy and speech pathology services are available via secure telehealth sessions, and families can access ongoing support and resources through our online therapy platform. This platform also offers regular parent and carer meetups, workshops, and a vibrant online community for sharing and support.
